A ton of people have asked me if I'm going to blog while I'm abroad so here is it :-) I am studying in Gulu, Uganda for the spring semester through a program called SIT Uganda: Post-Conflict Transformation. I will be taking classes that go towards a Peace and Justice minor. Most of the coursework will be studying the culture and history of Northern Uganda.
I am leaving on January 26 (4 days!!) and I cannot believe how fast winter break went. It still has not sunk in that I'm leaving the country soon. I am almost packed and just have a few odds and ends to get together before I'm ready.
I will update the blog when I can but I don't really know what to expect for internet access. If anyone wants to contact me the best way will be through my school email, which is katlyn.cashman@snc.edu. I'm trying to limit the amount of stuff to keep up with online so I don't plan on checking facebook or other emails very often.
I like the name of your blog... a highly appropriate place to say yes to adventure!
